The Russian government does not intend to risk the resumption of air travel

Supervising in the government questions of tourism Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said he did not have information about the proposals of the CPS to resume flights to 13 countries.

“I Have no such information”, — quotes its words “RIA Novosti”. He added that Russian authorities are not going to risk the health of citizens.

“Otherwise why spent so much effort, so many lives saved that are now so mindlessly similar actions to take?”, — said Chernyshenko. He also emphasized that he is concerned about the threat of the second wave of coronavirus which already makes itself know in a number of countries, including and popular with tourists.

earlier today, RBC reported that the Deputy head of Rospotrebnadzor Mikhail Orlov was sent to the Federal air transport Agency and the transport Ministry a letter in which he proposed resuming flights between Russia and nine European countries — Britain, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Finland, as well as China, Vietnam, Mongolia and Sri Lanka.
