The command group of the Russian Federation in Syria reserves right to respond to militant attacks that threaten military of the Russian Federation, Syria and civilians. As reported TASS, this statement was made by the head of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties (TSPVS) rear Admiral Alexander Shcherbitsky. He noted that the terrorists fired at positions of the Syrian government forces trying to attack the Russian airbase “Hamim” using unmanned aircraft and jet systems of volley fire extended range. According to Shcherbytsky, in accordance with the agreements reached, the Russian side reserves the right to retaliate against the militants of the terrorist groups whose actions can threaten the life of the Russian and Syrian soldiers as well as civilians in the areas adjacent to the zone of de-escalation. He stressed that the command of the RF armed groups in Syria and of the Syrian armed forces are forced to carry out activities to neutralise the terrorist threat.
