the U.S. Senate passed its version of the bill on the defence budget for the next fiscal year. The priority place it in a strategic competition with Russia, tougher sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”. The draft budget was supported by 86 senators voted against 14.
Under the bill, the Pentagon budget allocated $636,4 billion on military operations abroad — $69 billion on the program to the national security of energy — about $26 billion.
Recall, shortly before the House of representatives also approved its version of the military budget with the sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”. Now the two chambers must reconcile their versions of the documents, after which the final version will be submitted for signature to the President of the United States Donald Trump.
