Almost 3.7 thousand people in two days signed the open letter to the Minister of culture Olga Lyubimova, which contains the request to withdraw the claim in the case of the “Seventh Studio”.
the letter States that the investigation was allowed a lot of mistakes. Also the authors of the appeal expressed their distrust to the last examination of the case, during which it was revealed the embezzlement of budget funds at 129 million rubles. At the same time, they note, other examination fraud is not found, and found that the staff of the “Platform” to save budget money.
the Letter invited Lyubimov to familiarize himself with the results of examinations and to withdraw the claim of culture to Kirill Serebrennikov, Alexei Malopolski, Sophia Apfelbaum and Yuri Itino.

Among those who signed the letter — the film Director Pavel Lungin, Yuri Butusov, Harry Bardin, the actors Ksenia Rappoport, Alexey Serebryakov, Danila Kozlovsky and Chulpan Khamatova, and musician Andrey Makarevich, rector of the School-Studio of MKHAT Igor zolotovitski, President of the “Solzhenitsyn Fund” Natalya Solzhenitsyn, and others.
Recall that the defendants in the case, “the Seventh Studio” from October 2018 is accused of embezzlement of budget funds allocated to the theater project “Platform”.
