Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at a joint press conference with his Hungarian counterpart péter Szijjártó said that his country is no form of “negativization Hungarians”.
Kuleba offered Hungary to sign a document stating that the Hungarians in Transcarpathia — “this is a historic and cultural asset, not a problem.”
“I am proud that in Ukraine there is a Hungarian national minority. I always enjoy eating in Transcarpathia Hungarian cuisine, as well as driving, trying to read road inscriptions in the Hungarian language”, — quotes the Minister news Agency.
Relations between the two countries deteriorated after the adoption in 2017 by the Verkhovna Rada of the law on education, after which Budapest is blocking the holding of meetings of the Commission Ukraine-NATO, declaring the violation of the rights of Hungarians living in Ukraine.
