Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany called

Calls by some politicians in Germany cancel anti — Russian sanctions “slap in the face” of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the country’s Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk.

According to him, the citizens of Ukraine in favor of tougher sanctions, but understand that it is “politically unfeasible,” the newspaper writes Potsdamer Neuste Nachrichten.

Earlier, the Minister of the Federal state of Brandenburg Katrin Lange has called the sanctions against Russia “meaningless and ineffective”.

In turn, German Chancellor Angela Merkel called restrictive measures “bad” for the economy. She noted that Berlin is now trying to resolve political problems that caused these sanctions.
