UN Secretary-General antónio Guterres amid sweeping protests, the US urged Americans to peaceful expression of discontent.
In his statement on micro-blogging network Twitter Guterres wrote that upset about the violence on the streets of American cities, and expressed the opinion that the dissatisfaction should be expressed peacefully. At the same time, he noted that the authorities need to exercise restraint in their response to demonstrations.
Recall, massive riots engulfed the USA after the death of the African-American George Floyd from the hands of the police during the arrest.
