Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “historic” chance to resolve the issues of the Russians with the housing. He said this during a meeting of the Council on strategic development and projects, which was broadcast channel “Russia 24”.
“we Have a historic chance in the foreseeable future, maybe for the first time in the history of Russia to decide to radically solve the housing problem. And need not to miss this chance”, — said the head of state.
At this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that by 2026 housing will be able to get about 5 million families.
Earlier, the Russian government introduced a national plan to rebuild the economy and incomes. To support housing construction project plan assumes a decrease in average rate on mortgage loans to less than 8%, including through the implementation of the program of subsidizing mortgages for new buildings by 6.5%.
