it is reported that ash fell in several provinces of the country: Chimborazo (Central Andes), Guayas (Pacific coast) and Los ríos (in the West). It is noted that in one of the most populated cities of Ecuador — Guayaquil — ash covered almost all areas. The distance from town to the volcano is about 180 km away.
Residents of affected areas urged to take precautions, in particular, to wear masks covering the mouth and nose.
