Police in St Petersburg detains activists on rallies in support of arrested journalist of “Novaya Gazeta” Ilya Azar. This was announced by the supporters of the youth movement “Spring”.

the Journalist Ilya Azar were arrested for 15 days for public support of the Creator of a public “Ombudsman police” Vladimir Vorontsov, accused of extortion. Azar came out to picket in support of Vorontsov. The Tverskoy district court found the journalist guilty under part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code (“the Repeated violation of the laws on rallies”).
