In Transbaikalia four people drowned in the river Onon during the rescue of 15-year-old girl was pulled into the vortex, the press service of the regional SU RF IC.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening. The company of relatives, among whom was a girl, rested on the river Bank. During bathing the girl began to sink, got into a whirlpool. Adults rushed to her aid, they were joined by three fishermen.
In the end, the girl was saved, however, the 45-year-old woman and three men aged 41, 58 and 64 drowned. The body of a man discovered the body of a woman still looking.
