In a telegram sent Friday to the prefects as well as to the directors general of the police and the gendarmerie, and of which AFP has taken note, the Minister of the Interior notes “the high level of the terrorist threat” which “requires the maintenance of strong vigilance, in particular vis-à-vis places of a religious nature”.
He thus calls “the attention” of the prefects “to the gatherings and offices of Jewish and Christian worship which will be held from Saturday evening to Monday evening”.
Mr. Darmanin lists the measures to be taken, in particular the attention paid to vehicles parked near places of worship or the use of Sentinel forces.
