Putin supported the idea of extending the payment of unemployment benefits

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the extension of three months of payment of unemployment benefits to those who lost their jobs after March 1 and not able to find a job in three months. About it as reports TASS, the head of state at a meeting on the state of the labor market in Russia.

“I Agree with the following proposal: to extend for three months the payment of unemployment benefits to citizens who in the period after March 1 lost a right in connection with the expiration of the deadline,” said Putin.

He added that the measure will be valid until 1 October 2020.

According to Putin, those whose period of payment of unemployment benefit has expired, payments will continue for another three months, but not later than until 1 October. It is enough to apply to the employment service.

Putin Also cited data according to which the largest increase in the number of unemployed from 1 March to 20 April 2020 notes in Tyumen, Kaliningrad, Vologda regions, Chuvashia and Buryatia Republic. The highest percentage of any increase of registered unemployed of the economically active population recorded in Tuva, Kabardino-Balkar Republic, in the Altai Republic and Buryatia Republic.
