CEC explained the publication of the results of voting for

the CEC decided to publish preliminary results of voting on amendments to the Constitution to avoid “different interpretations of data.” This was stated by the head of the CEC, Ella Pamfilova.

“Because nothing is forbidden as soon as in Chukotka counted the votes, all the information is from local commissions, observers, and everyone will give and interpret the way he understands it”, she explained.

Pamfilova said that the results of Federal elections can’t be published until after the vote throughout the country. However, data on voting in the region can be published immediately after they election.

CEC Head added that the Commission decided to “simplify the process” and give reporters information about voting “at first hand”.
