According to the Agency, the corresponding call contains the fatwa, issued by the muftiat. The text notes that Russian mercenaries allegedly invaded Libya “to control territories and resources.” “This is evident in the actions of mercenaries in cities, airports and oil fields of our country. Muslims, regardless of location, should endeavor to fight with the Russian mercenaries,” said the Union of Muftis. The clergy also called on Libyans to avoid any trade relations with the men of Russia.
