Belarus detained Victor Babariko, which is going to take part in the presidential elections in the country. As the head of the state control Committee Ivan Tertel, the reason for the detention was an attempt to influence the witnesses and conceal evidence of previously committed crimes.
“Babariko arrested in connection with what was the direct organizer of illegal activities,” added Tertel, it quotes News.tut.by.
Earlier media reported the “disappearance” of Babariko. It turned out that the former head of Belgazprombank together with his son was brought in for questioning, passed by the TV channel “Belarus 1”. Investigative actions conducted by the Department of financial investigations of the state control Committee (SCC). According to media reports, top managers of Belgazprombank, from the post of head which Babariko quit for the sake of participating in elections, arrested on the case of the withdrawal of funds abroad in the framework of the “United criminal group” (OCG).
Add that the day before the CEC adopted Babariko signatures to register a candidate in presidents of Belarus. Lukashenka has also passed the required number of signatures.
