Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova said that ex-President Petro Poroshenko tried to put pressure on her, reports a press-service of office of public Prosecutor.
Therefore, the attorney General commented on the arrival of Poroshenko and MPs from the party of “European solidarity”, headed by him, to her office. Reportedly, the guard didn’t want to miss visitors in the office Venediktova, but they were still able to log in.
As stated in the statement of the Prosecutor General, members of Parliament, “just broke into the office, damaging belongings of the guards”, under the pretext of emergency admission. Venediktov called their actions pressure and noted that “any suggestions, instructions, and requirements in relation to pre-trial investigation are unlawful.” The statement also emphasized that the case Poroshenko, in which he is held suspect, is not political.
