In January 2020 Ignatieff dismissed in connection with loss of trust. Ignatieff has filed a lawsuit and asked to establish the fact of a partial loss of earning capacity during operation, the head of the Chuvash Republic and the right to additional social and other guarantees provided for by regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and Chuvash Republic.
However, on 18 June Ignatiev died after an illness. Media reported that Ignatieff was hospitalized with pneumonia.
